Flying weight fight

Chetostoma tephritid fly cuvinerve interesting series with a male. I spotted one in a shrub holly but it then another and spotted what turned out to be a fight followed (my eyes not good when I shoot without glasses and I thought they were mating initially). Seems that they use those face spines in the pushing contest.BRBrian V.PCloseup showing armamentBRIMG border=”0″ alt=”” src=”http://www.photo-natural.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/wpid-1300461947583e86a91bco.jpg”/PPLocking horns and pushBRIMG border=”0″ alt=”” src=”http://www.photo-natural.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/wpid-13004911924ea9d72dd94o.jpg”/PPIMG border=”0″ alt=”” src=”http://www.photo-natural.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/wpid-13004911934277193cc7fo.jpg”/PPKnockout punchBRIMG border=”0″ alt=”” src=”http://www.photo-natural.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/wpid-1300491194439e6bd1b33o.jpg”/PPRetreatBRIMG border=”0″ alt=”” src=”http://www.photo-natural.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/wpid-130049119548d1f14292co.jpg” /P
