Male mason bee

My 3yr old granddaughter came in from the garden with a passenger in her hair. What I think is a newly emerged male mason bee Osmia rufa. I carefully removed it from her hair with no damage top either and then put it on a dandelion flower to feed. It seemed to get the idea straight away. I then put it on the roof of a bee hotel where it stayed for a minute or 2 before flying off.BRBrian V.
