Penumbral Lunar Eclipse Occurring Tomorrow Night

A penumbral lunar eclipse will occur tomorrow night at approximately 07:44 p.m. Eastern Time / 4:44 PM Pacific Time.

Unfortunately, this particular eclipse is unlikely to yeild any spectacular photo opportunities as the moon will only pass through the outer edge of the Earth’s shadow making it much less impressive than a total lunar eclipse. Therefore, you might want to leave your camera in the bag, turn your head to the sky and simply enjoy a slight darkening of the Snow Moon (i.e., a full moon in February).
